Not to tout my horn but for what I have accomplished in my life, in such a young age, in my muggle and magickal life, my looks, personality, intellect, etc – I’ve been doing fantastic and it’s like I’ve hit the cosmic jackpot and I guess that can get intimidating to others.

I know I try to be intimidating at times but for reasons of security and being the oldest, that’s just how I was raised. However, I’m pretty low key with the rest of the things in my life – even my exploits of magickal pursuit, I try to tone it down.

But now that this point has been made, should I do something about it – tone it down some more, or just keep on truckin?

I don’t normally jump into every little meme that happens in the internetz but when I read this “Sixteen Hundred” project through Polys post – I decided to throw my lot (happy coincidence), help out and put in my submission. A nice side result is I ended up in a free geomancy course so it’s  win win for me.

For example, recently at work, the boss that I am directly working under is stressing out from all of the annoyances of the job. To be fair, it’s his own fault – he does not seem to be ready and willing to take on the responsibilities that comes w/ the job. He should be going above and beyond to achieve what is needed but alas, his mind is on his growing family at the moment.

So, I see 2 opportunities regarding this matter.

I can cause the downfall of this fellar and hope that my credentials, and some sweet talking, can cause me to gain his position.  Or I can help him defeat his “enemies” at the moment.

There’s lots of variables that surrounds this opportunity that is too long to list but I am confident with the outcome that I choose to happen. However, the end result might not be too convenient for me – especially if I pick the former.

Right now, I’m just on standby and letting it takes its course. I know if I play my cards right, I can be on the top of the ladder like I was before but the issue is, do I want to?

Of course, we celebrated on the normal routine – right when midnight hits, cakes and some laughs as my family bear down on me to celebrate my birthday. I had a nice birthday game of tennis in the morning. Then later on, went to church with my parents since I’m contractually obligated to go to church on special occasions (to keep the mum happy and not have her poke around her agnostic sons business). Then a nice family dinner in which I ended up stuffing myself with chicken and ribs (not cool, lol). Then home to relax and spend some more time with the love ones.

In between, I did the TSS Ritual of the Supreme Commander (I think that’s the name of the ritual, can’t remember and too lazy to reach for the book). Also did some magick while at church and I tried a little experiment. I screwed that one up though since I ended up absorbing too much Fire element, which in turn caused my brain to go haywire and left me with a headache.

Overall, it was  a nice birthday.

I’m pretty comfortable w/ my working theory on magick as a whole; the howtos and whys – mind you, I’m not saying that I’ve discovered the secrets of magick, moreso that the tidbits here and there in this world has started to simmer in my brain and has started to form into working theories I can use. There is still so much to discover and I feel that in this step, I can finally start discovering.

My practical skills are up to par, I do some things really well and some things are left passable but it’s a working progress. As long as I don’t get conceited and forget that I am still a student who knows some things here and there who can achieve certain results – my progression should be alright. Till I can blast people w/ fire balls or fly, I’ll be in my little training corner working and training.

Overall, I suppose I am in the refinement part of my training. I’ve gotten the fundamentals down and now I really have to let my own creativity and self expression flourish through my magick.
